Jillian Gorbold, ACC
“Jillian brings a calm, steady presence, even when the pressure is on. She’s spent her career supporting people through some of the hardest moments at work, and it shows in how grounded and focused she is as a coach. She contracts clearly, keeps you on track, and helps you see possibilities you’d have missed.” – Ariana McNally, PCC, President, Glacier Point Solutions
Jillian Gorbold, ACC, is an Executive & Leadership Coach with more than 20 years of experience focused on leadership, people, and performance across the public and private sectors. She holds a Master of Arts in Leadership from the University of Guelph, is an Associate Certified Coach (ACC) through the International Coaching Federation (ICF), and is a Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR). She has also completed extensive specialized education and certification in areas including change management, labour relations, emotional intelligence, inclusive leadership, neuroscience-informed practice, and public management.
Throughout her career, Jillian has worked with individuals and teams in demanding and complex environments, with a particular interest in the human side of performance. Her experience spans executive and leadership coaching, sales coaching and advisory work, career exploration, leadership development, organizational change, facilitation, mentoring, and team development. She has worked across professional services, municipal government, higher education, and the private sector.
Jillian is certified to administer the EQ-i 2.0® and EQ 360® Emotional Intelligence Assessments and the Leadership Circle Profile™ 360 assessment. Her approach is also informed by neuroscience, change management, adult learning, and positive psychology, which she draws on to deepen awareness, generate insight, and support meaningful development.
As an Executive & Leadership Coach, Jillian believes high performance does not have to come at the expense of wellbeing. Her coaching takes a strengths-based approach and considers the whole person and the environment around them. She helps clients better understand what is shaping how they lead, work, and perform so they can make more intentional choices about what comes next.
Jillian is particularly passionate about helping high-performing professionals, whether they are leading teams or building client relationships and growing sales, find ways of working that support both performance and the person behind it. She works with clients to explore what is driving their performance, what may no longer be serving them, and what they need to lead and work in ways that are both effective and sustainable.
Jillian also supports clients with career navigation and exploration, helping them find greater fulfillment in their work. She is especially skilled at helping clients expand their thinking about what’s possible and identify where they do their best work.
Jillian’s ability to meet people where they are, ask powerful questions, and surface what may not yet be visible helps clients recognize patterns, assumptions, strengths, and possibilities, generate new insights, and create greater choice.
Jillian’s interest in how we lead, work, and perform continues to shape her work beyond coaching. She is developing new tools to help others understand sustainable performance through the interaction of mind, body, and environment. These ideas are also reflected in a book she is working on, exploring the leadership lessons we are rarely taught and what experience can teach us about leading, working, and being human.
